I'm a lawyer. My side project is three free sites that serve a million court rules and regulations from primary sources.

I'm a lawyer who has always dabbled in code on the side. I have practiced in several jurisdictions and have always found it annoying looking up court rules or state regulations for other states. I also hate how access to law is often pay walled. Over the last year I built three sites to fix that for myself and they have turned into something that people actually use. Here they are: federal-rules.com - FRCP, FRCrP, FRE, FRAP, bankruptcy, and the local rules of 89 federal district courts. Cross-references inside rules are links to the rule they name, for example https://federal-rules.
